What's Hooked on Scouting?
Hooked on Scouting is a fishing event for brand new Cub Scouts held on September 21, 2013 at various locations throughout the Ozark Trails Council. During the event, new Cub Scouts will be exposed to various aspects of fishing, including gear and bait selection, knot tying, applicable fishing laws, and several other items. They will then be given a chance to try out their new fishing pole and tackle box that they received for signing up. Lunch will also be provided. There are three Hooked on Scouting locations in the Osage Hills District. They are listed below. Each Osage Hills event starts at noon and will continue on until 3 PM. It takes about an hour to complete all of the stations so plan to arrive no later than 2 PM.
