Training
Thank you to the units and leaders that have provided training and leader information to me since Roundtable. The database continues to grow and looks better. I still need training information from several units. If you have not provided the information, I will be contacting your unit.

Thank you to Robyn and Leslie for conducting our First Aid / CPR training at Roundtable.

Youth Protection Training
All registered Adult Leaders involved in any unit from Cub Scouts through Venturing is required by BSA Policy to have completed Youth Protection Training prior to being directly involved with the youth members. Youth Protection must be retaken every two years from the last date taken. If your Youth Protection has lapsed, then a leader should not participate in any activities that have any direct contact with any youth member until the individual has re-accomplished Youth Protection Training. This is to protect the Adults as much as it is for the Youth. There are three different Youth Protection Training courses: one for Cub Scout leaders - this training is only valid for Cub Scout leaders and does not cross over to Boy Scout or Venture leaders; one for Boy Scout leaders and does not cross over to Venture leaders; and one for Venture leaders. Adult Leaders need to have accomplished the Youth Protection appropriate for their registered position. Youth Protection Training can be accomplished online through the BSA Online Training Center or by watching the BSA Youth Protection Training Video of which I have a copy and will loan to any unit for training.

University of Scouting 2010
Put October 23 on your calendar now. Plan to get your entire unit’s adult leadership trained. Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venture Leaders: Here is the best chance your will have to get all your training needs in one location. Check the council website often for updates, registration forms, and dates.

“Honoring Our Past …1910…Building Our Future… 2010…Camporall 2010”
The 2010 Camporall is scheduled for October 1, 2, and 3. Cubs will be able to register and attend on Saturday, October 1. All others can camp out Friday and Saturday if they wish. Webelos can only camp with a troop not as a Webelos den. Those without a troop to camp with may only come for the day. This is one show you won’t want to miss! Much more information including how and when to register will be coming soon! Be sure to check the council website.

Roundtable
We will be having more required training at this roundtable Thursday June, 10th at Buffalo.

Camporall 2010 Patch Contest
This contest is for boys only, no adults. Patch designs much be turned into the council office by June 25 so they can be judged and a winner selected. Use the sheet located on the Home Page to design your patch.

Finance
Please, if you have not scheduled a family FOS for your unit, it needs to get done ASAP!!! This helps the council to fund all the scouting programs that our kids love!!!! Frontier District Current Status for Friends of Scouting: $8,555 raised to our goal of $18,000 (47.5%)

Membership
Sue Fain (Pack 88 Cubmaster) and I did a Spring Recruitment. She added 5 new boys that night and then added another 2 a few nights later. Go Sue!!! I am planning a couple more recruitments and signups this summer at some summer activities around town. If you need help with a recruitment, give me a call. I will
gladly help.

Chairman’s Corner
Is there anyone out there who thinks our district should be doing a better job? I do, and I am helping to make that happen. How about you? Are you helping or would you like to? Please let someone who works in a district position know that you would be willing to help. Thanks in advance for helping make this a better district.
